Gaap or Goap is a divinatory spirit as well as it can act as an accelerator of social behavior, read, how an individual behaves is perceived and read by body language and posture, etc. Gaap is also a spirit of astral projection and dreams. He teaches how to consecrate items to Amaymon, their King. It makes men sensible or ignorant; but also to make them wise in philosophy and liberal sciences. He can cause love or hate and bestows familiars on the magician, and is perfectly aware of things past, present and future. He can transport men in astral projection, at the simple wish of the magician. Gaap is used in spiritual works that can range from love bindings, separation from rivals, reconciliations to consecrations and witchcraft. Gaap is a powerful angelic prince and president who governs 66 Legions of Spirits. It was written that Gaap when the Sun is aligned with certain signs of the South in normal human form. He appears in front of four Mighty Kings that he leads.
He rules over 66 Legions of Spirits, and he was of the Order of Potentates.
🕯️From “Demonology” (August 2003)🕯️🕯️ This Demon is also known as Tap. The Lemegeton text reads: 🕯️Lemegeton🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️ “he is a president; and a mighty prince; he appears when the Sun is in some of the Southern Signs in human form; Going before him 4 Great and Mighty Kings knowledgeable in Philosophy; and all Liberal Sciences; he can cause love or hate and make men insensitive; he cannot teach you to consecrate those things that belong to the Domain of Amaymon, your King, and he cannot deliver familiars out of the Custody of other Mages; and men more swiftly from Realm to Realm at the Exorcist's will and pleasure; he rules 66 Legions of Spirits; he was of the Order of Potentates;” (Sloane 2731). Reginald Scot has a curious knowledge to record regarding this demon. He claims that Gaap is equal in power to Bileth, and writes of the last spirit: “there were some necromancers who offered him sacrifices and burnt offerings; and to summon him they exercised an art, saying that Salomon the wise made it. Which is false: for it was Cham, the son of Noah, who after the flood began to invoke evil spirits. He invoked Bileth, and made an art in his name, and a book which is known to many mathematicians. There were burnt-offerings and sacrifices made, and gifts given, and many wickednesses done by the exorcists, who mingled there with all the holy names of God, which in this art are always expressed. Marie there is an epistle of these names written by Saloman, as well as writing Helias, Hierosolymitanus and Helisaeus. It should be noted that if an exorcist has Bileth's art and cannot make him stand before him, nor see him, What abominations might be used to command Bileth, Scot does not disclose. They may have involved the shedding of human blood. Bileth is evidently the same as the Demon Beleth, also known as Bileth or Bilet. Scot's text is confusing, and it is difficult to know for sure at any point whether he is writing about Gaap or Bileth, but I believe Bileth is intended in the section quoted above. Gaap and Bileth are two of the four main demons that rule the 72 commanded by Solomon in the bronze vessel. The other two rulers are Belial and Asmoday. Collin de Plancy had Gaap illustrated as a winged giant with horns and a tail, who carries a man in the air on his shoulders.

🕯️From the “Pseudomonarchia Daemonum” (1583) written by Johann Weyer (Johann Wier)🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️ Original text : Gaap, alias Tap, a great president and a prince, he appears in a southern sign, and when he takes human form [Clm 849 says: He appears in the form of a physician when he assumes a human form. He is the most excellent physician of women, and he makes them burn with love for men.] he is the guide of the four chief kings, as powerful as Bileth. There were certain necromancers who offered him sacrifices and burnt offerings; and to summon him they exercised an art, saying that Salomon the wise made it. Which is false: for it was Cham, the son of Noah, who after the flood began to invoke evil spirits. He invoked Bileth, and made an art in his name, and a book which is known to many mathematicians. There were burnt-offerings and sacrifices made, and gifts given, and many wickednesses practiced by exorcists, who mixed with it all the holy names of God, which in this art are always expressed. Marie [Surely] there is an epistle of these names written by Solomon, as also writes Helias Hierosolymitanus and Helisæus. It should be noted that if an exorcist has the art of Bileth, and cannot make him stand before him, nor see him, I cannot imagine how and declare the means to contain him, because it is an abomination, and therefore I learned nothing from Salomon about his dignity and office. But I still won't hide it; namely, that he makes a wonderful man in philosophy and all liberal sciences: he makes love, hate, insensibility, invisibility, consecration, and consecration of those things which belong to Amaymon's dominion, and frees familiars from the possession of other magicians.
🕯️From the “Dictionnaire Infernal” (1863 edition) Written by Jacques Auguste Simon Collin de Plancy🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
Original text: Tap or Gaap, grand presidente and grand princeaux enfers. He shows up at noon when he takes human form. He commands four of the main kings of the infernal empire. He is as powerful as Byleth. There were formerly necromancers who offered him libations and burnt offerings; they evoked it by means of magic artifices which they said were composed by the plaiting king Solomon; which is false, for it was Ham, son of Noah; who first began to evoke evil spirits. He was served by Byleth and composed an art in his name, and a book which is appreciated by many mathematicians. Em cites another book attributed to the prophets Elijah and Elisha, by which Gaap is conjured by virtue of the holy names of God contained in the Clavicles of Solomon. Gaap or Tap excites love, hate. He has empire over the demons subjected to the power of Amaymon. It transports men very quickly to the different countries they want to travel; He commands sixty legions.
🔯ANALYSIS Gaap is one of the four leaders of the 72 Daemons, according to legend where they were imprisoned in urns by Solomon. By the correspondence of constellations in the Mul.Apin it may be related to the Sumerian God Gubba, whose name means “Purification”, or Gubbu, of the “standing” gods of Ekur; however little is known about these Gods (and Gubba is also listed as King in rulers' compendia). In terms of iconography, in the Infernal Dictionary, something curious is observed: Gaap or Tap is a man who rides a bat-shaped demon. Also according to this book, he would have taught the art of evoking demons to Ham, son of Noah, in addition to conferring sacred books on the prophets Elijah and Elisha, and being able to contact the three wise men. ⭐ABSTRACT⭐ NUMBER: 33; NAME: Gaap; OTHER NAMES: Taob, Taap, Tap; ELEMENTS: Feeling, Spirituality, Love, Hate; MEANING: Gubbu, “standing”; HIERARCHY: President, Prince; LEGIONS: 66; APPEARANCE: Appears in human form, along with four kings; POWERS: Cause love and hate, teach philosophy and liberal science, teach consecration, grant and release familiars; ISOPSEFIA: In modern language, 7+1+1+60=69=15=6; TAROT: 7 of Swords; ASTROLOGY: Sun in Libra; DECANATE: 20th-30th Aquarius (day); MUL.APIN DINGIR.GUB.BAs / z+nHer; ANGEL: Yehuiah; ENTITY: Demons that guard the gates of hell and devour sinners; OTHERS -
